English-speaking online therapy for adults

Psychology, but it doesn't psychologize.

I am Thiago, a Brazilian clinical psychologist. I work in English, by video call, with people who want to understand what they are living through, without being handed a ready-made label along the way.

No commitment. You ask, I answer, and you decide in your own time.

The idea

Why "doesn't psychologize"?

To psychologize is to take any experience and hand back a stamp: you are anxious, you need to love yourself more, that is childhood trauma. The internet is full of this, and almost none of it helps when life actually gets hard.

The work I do goes another way. We start from what you live, the way you live it, and look at that closely and without rushing. Before any theory comes your experience.

The name for this way of working is the phenomenological-existential approach. But you do not need to memorise the name. You just need a space where your story is not reduced to a diagnosis.

Who it is for

You may recognise yourself here

Burnout at work

Work has taken over everything, resting no longer rests, and the person you were outside office hours has been left behind.

On burnout and exhaustion

Anxiety

Your mind lives in the next problem, your body will not switch off, and even good things arrive with a background hum of alarm.

On living on alert

Meaning in life

Everything is more or less in place, but something has stopped making sense. And there is no room to say that out loud.

On that restlessness

Living away from home

Many of the people I work with are living outside the country they grew up in. That carries its own kind of tiredness, one that rarely gets named: functioning all day in a second language, holding relationships across time zones, being competent at work while feeling like a beginner at ordinary life.

Being far away is not in itself a problem to be solved. But it does deserve a space where you can speak without translating yourself first, and where the distance is treated as part of your experience rather than a detail to get past.

Therapy is not about becoming someone else. It is about being able to look closely at the life that is already yours.

The path

Starting is simpler than it looks

  1. You message me on WhatsApp

No forms, no waiting list. We talk, you ask your questions, and we agree on a time if it makes sense to you.

  2. First session by video

A meeting to get to know each other. You talk about what brought you here, I explain how I work, and you decide whether to carry on.

  3. Weekly sessions

Fifty-minute sessions by video call, at a fixed time that fits your routine, from wherever you are.
